Description

Rich, fudgy brownies swirled with a spooky orange cheesecake layer — a festive and delicious treat perfect for Halloween parties.

Ingredients

Scale

For the brownie layer:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp baking powder

For the cheesecake layer:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Orange food coloring

Optional decorations:

Mini chocolate chips

Halloween sprinkles

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

2. In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until combined.

3. Whisk in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder until smooth.

4. Pour 3/4 of the brownie batter into the prepared pan and spread evenly.

5. In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.

6. Add a few drops of orange food coloring and mix until fully tinted.

7. Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie layer.

8. Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl with a knife for a marbled effect.

9. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or Halloween sprinkles if desired.

10. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the center is set and a toothpick comes out mostly clean.

11. Cool completely in the pan, then chill for 1 hour before cutting into squares.

12. Serve chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For sharp, clean slices, use a hot knife wiped clean between cuts.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Use gel-based food coloring for the brightest orange hue.
